After many years of will-they won’t-they, we finally have the news that the UK has officially joined the Horizon Europe programme as an associated country.

Martin Smith is Head of Policy Lab at Wellcome. He is responsible for external policy relating to Wellcome’s investment in discovery research, including in relation to Brexit and the UK’s role in global research. Martin previously worked in policy roles at the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee and a range of science learned societies.
