Kieran Fenby-Hulse: A porous career in research management

Kieran is a professor, facilitator, storyteller, and creative consultant. In August 2025, Kieran founded One Little Spark to bring imagination to the centre of how we lead, learn, and work. Before launching One Little Spark, Kieran spent 20 years in higher education. Most recently, as Associate Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange and Director of Teesside University’s Institute for Collective Place Leadership, leading a team of over 100 researchers.
