A former journalist and UN speech writer and editor, Christine Whitehouse has for the past 20 years worked mainly in research communications, translating complex scientific, technological and medical research into accessible English for policymakers, practitioners and the public. Since REF 2014 Christine has reviewed and reworked impact case studies both in-house (University of Leicester, De Montfort University) and as an external consultant for a number of universities. She is a graduate of the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in the UK.
