Two new networks: Bringing together the Global Majority in research spaces

Mary Caspillo-Brewer is Due Diligence Manager at Imperial College London. Mary, originally from the Philippines, has spent 14 years in the UK advancing her career in research support. Inspired by previous mentors, she is passionate about empowering fellow research administrators. As a member of Imperial As One, she shares her journey and mentors early-career staff, fostering growth and connection.

Anpu Varghese is Research Development Executive at the University of Aberdeen. Anpu’s role supports researchers with international funding. She is also the Race Equality Champion for the Professional Services department. Anpu believes there should be more mentorship opportunities within research management professions, along with stronger support for career development.

Natalie Wall is Strategic Research Impact Lead at King’s College London and co-chair of the King’s Research Management & Innovation Directorate’s EDI Committee and Research Managers Network EDI Working Group. Within ARMA, Natalie is a member of the Training & Development Working Group, a qualifications assessor, and a workshop facilitator.

Ellen Graves is a Policy Officer at GuildHE responsible for student experience and EDI policy, as well as supporting wider research policy. Ellen runs GuildHE Research’s programme for postgraduate research students and the Global Majority PGR Network, and GuildHE’s Student Support, EDI and Librarians Networks.
