Call for Contributors: ARMA Insights Post-Award Month 2027

At ARMA, one of our values is Bold. We are proud of the expertise our community offers and are committed to ensuring it is recognised, amplifying the voices of our members in sector-wide debates and influencing policy and practice.

With this in mind, we are delighted to launch a dedicated Post-Award Month in ARMA Insights during February 2027.

ARMA Insights is ARMA’s member magazine and aims to cover all areas of research management and administration.

Throughout February 2027, ARMA Insights will focus exclusively on post-award topics, showcasing the breadth of expertise, innovation and good practice across the post-award community.

We welcome:

• Article ideas and topic suggestions
• Expressions of interest from potential authors
• Contributions from both experienced and first-time writers
• Collaborative articles from colleagues, teams and networks

Potential topics include (but are not limited to) post-award management and administration, research finance, compliance, assurance, audit, governance, project delivery, partnerships, impact reporting, systems and processes, professional development, career pathways, lessons learned, case studies, emerging challenges and sector developments.

You do not need to have delivered a major project or identified a new good practice to contribute. We are equally interested in content on RMA Spotlight, porous careers, reflections, challenges, lessons learned, practical approaches and experiences from day-to-day post-award work. If your experience could help inform, support or spark discussion among colleagues across the sector, we would love to hear from you.

We encourage contributions from across the research and innovation landscape, including universities, research institutes, independent research organisations, public sector research establishments, research funders, government departments, NHS bodies, Catapult centres, charities, Trusts and Foundations.

Please share this call widely with your colleagues and networks. Both ARMA members and non-members are welcome to contribute.

We look forward to receiving your ideas and celebrating the diverse experiences, insights and achievements taking place across the post-award community.

9 September 2026 – Ideas reviewed by the Editorial Working Group
September – October 2026 – Article writing period (deadline: 31 October 2026)
November 2026 – Peer review and feedback
Mid-January 2027 – Final articles due
February 2027 – Post-Award Month launches on ARMA Insights
