Holly Yates to deliver keynote address at ARMA 2026

We are delighted to announce that Holly Yates will give a keynote address at the ARMA Conference, taking place at the Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC), from 16 – 18 June 2026.

Holly is Director of Science, Research and Innovation in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, where she leads policy and strategy for the UK research and development system. Her portfolio includes oversight of public R&D budgets, sponsorship of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), research system reform, university financial sustainability, support for regional and national growth, and strengthening the UK’s innovation ecosystem.

A civil servant since 2004, Holly brings extensive experience in strategic leadership roles, with a particular focus on complex systems. Her career has spanned areas including environmental policy, the environmental determinants of health, and the science, research and innovation landscape.

The ARMA annual conference brings together professionals from research management and the wider research community to connect, learn and share knowledge. The programme features a mix of plenary and breakout sessions, poster presentations, a commercial exhibition, and a wide range of networking opportunities.
