New members sought for Finance and Governance Committee

We have a number of vacancies on our Finance and Governance Committee (FGC). You are not required to be a member at the time of application, but you will be required to become one prior to taking up the post.

Finance and Governance Committee was established to strengthen ARMA governance in the areas of finance, human resources, and organisational infrastructure (including operational policy and procedures, systems, etc.), to ensure that ARMA continues to have a sustainable infrastructure and appropriate governance structures. It is a standing committee of ARMA, reporting to the ARMA Board and chaired by ARMA’s Deputy Chair.

Skills

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who bring one or more of the following skills:

• Organisational governance
• Operational effectiveness and risk management
• Financial management and regulation
• Strategic planning
• Performance monitoring and evaluation
• Digital transformation
• People and culture

 Time Commitment

The committee meets four times a year with one of the meetings being in person. These meetings are scheduled approximately one month in advance of each ARMA Board meeting. Total time commitment from committee members is likely to be around an hour per month.

Duration

Committee members are appointed for a term of three years and are eligible for a second term of three years.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm Friday 5 July 2024.

All expressions of interest will be reviewed against the skills outlined above and in line with our inclusive recruitment process. Short interviews will be scheduled shortlisted candidates. (dates to be confirmed).
