New mentors sought for ARMA qualifications programme

We are seeking new volunteers to join our pool of qualification mentors. As with traditional mentoring, you will build a relationship with your mentee and offer advice as a critical friend.

As a qualification mentor you will be specifically guiding them through the units of our Certificate in Research Management (CRM) programme, either at Foundation or Advanced level.

To become a qualification mentor, you do not need to have any prior experience of our qualifications programme. You will be invited to an induction session and given access to the handbook and unit resources so that you can familiarise yourself with what your mentee is working on. We recommend you watch our short information session where you can learn about the role in more detail.

Our next cohort for the qualifications programme starts in November 2023, but we may match you with one of our current students who requires mentor support. The completion of the programme takes 18-24 months and students often work through the units in the order listed in the handbook. We ask that you are available during this time period to support the student through their study plan. The mentee will drive the relationship and you should allow 2-4 hours mentor time for each of the units.
