Qualification assessors required for Equality and Diversity Unit

We are looking for new assessors for the unit on Equality and Diversity in Research Management, from our Certificate in Research Management Advanced qualification programme.

Being an assessor is a rewarding experience. It is an excellent way of staying informed about the fundamentals of the research management profession whilst supporting the next generation of RMA professionals by actively steering their learning and building their confidence.

During each assessment round, assessors are allocated student assignments submitted for their specialist area. They will read through the assignments and mark them according to the assessment criteria on the marking proformas, word count and adequate referencing (full training will be given). They will provide constructive feedback to encourage their continued development and provide guidance for resubmissions. Assessors are required to be available for questions after results are shared (anonymous process via ARMA’s Exec Office) and may be allocated resubmissions from previous rounds. A nominal fee will be paid for each assessment.

Assessors are usually existing ARMA members with expertise in a particular topic covered by our Certificate in Research Management (CRM) qualifications. They may have already completed the qualifications programme either at Foundation or Advanced level and are now looking to use their knowledge and skills to support others.
