Research at risk: Impacts of financial constraints on UK universities

Our new report, produced in partnership with the Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE) and Universities UK (UUK), highlights the difficult decisions institutions are making in response to financial pressures, including scaling back research and knowledge exchange, reducing staff capacity and limiting infrastructure investment.

Published today, the report draws on findings from the financial sustainability survey conducted by our Task and Finish Group, outlining the risks facing UK university research across the sector and the implications for national innovation, economic growth and global competitiveness.
