We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced conference organiser to play a key role in delivering ARMA Annual Conference 2022.
Title: Conference Delivery Officer
Contract: 1-year fixed term (in the first instance)
Location: Remote (home based, with ad-hoc team meetings in Edinburgh area)
Salary: £21,750
Hours: 35 per week
Benefits: Include 30 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 6% employer contributory pension

About ARMA
ARMA is the professional membership association for research management in the UK. Annual conference is ARMA’s flagship learning, development and networking event.
In a first for ARMA, ARMA annual conference 2021 took the form of a virtual event. Building on its success, ARMA 2022 will take the form of a 3-day hybrid consisting of two virtual days followed by one in-person day the following week. The event will take place in November.
About the role
Working with the Conference Manager, Director of Conference and Conference Working Group, the postholder supports delivery of annual conference.
What do you need?
ARMA annual conference is moving into new territory and it’s imperative the postholder can hit the ground running. We welcome applications from professionals who can clearly demonstrate experience in the following:
Essential
-
Minimum 2 years in a conference production role

Abstract management
-
Speaker coordination, confirmation through to post-event
-
Online registration and delegate management
-
Sponsorship/ exhibition co-ordination, post-sale to post-event

Basic in-house design (using Canva Pro).
Desirable
-
Working with an association; in-house or PCO
-
Knowledge of event management software/ virtual platforms including Oxford Abstracts, MailChimp, RefTech and vFairs

Large-scale virtual/ hybrid conference delivery.
