ARMA commissions independent review

Over the last four years or so, the Association of Research Managers and Administrators has steadily been evolving. Much has changed in the external operating environment, particularly over the last 15 months. But ARMA itself has been developing, gradually increasing its offer over the years, providing members with more opportunities to engage. Its strengthened governance structure has delivered significant cost efficiencies, while not compromising the member offer. This summer, ARMA will sign off on its new Strategic Plan, which will shape its development pathway over the next 3 years.

Now is therefore an excellent opportunity for ARMA to take stock. We want to commission an independent review of our current structures and activities to assess whether they remain the most effective and efficient to deliver on our new strategy and within a new environment.

We want the review to explore the structure and focus of ARMA’s Governance and operations. We want to test the current financial model, including how we secure funding from our membership. And we want to ensure that our resources are aligned to deliver on our new strategic plan.

The review will take into account the external operating environment, and consultation with a range of stakeholders, including with our members, is expected.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm on Friday 2^nd July.

It is expected that this work will be carried out in the early Autumn, with interim findings due early November and a full written report by 31^st December.
